AUD/USD falls to daily lows after NFP

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US dollar is trading higher after the good US employment report in January and against the Australian dollar, the pair is watching levels not seen in the day. The AUD/USD fell 95 pips from 0.7875 to trade at daily lows at 0.7780.

Currently, AUD/USD is trading at 0.7800, down 0.22% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.7878 and low at 0.7780. The FXStreet OB/OS Index is reflecting neutral hourly conditions, while the FXStreet Trend Index is slightly bullish.

If the pair extends decline beyond 0.7780, it will find next supports at 0.7750 and 0.7730. To the upside, resistances are at 0.7820, 0.7850 and 0.7875.

Strong non-farm payroll print, huge upward revisions for Dec and Nov

Total non-farm payroll employment rose by 257,000 in January, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 5.7 percent, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.
