Fed to remove 'patience' in March statement - Nomura

FXStreet (Bali) - According to US-based Economists at Nomura, the strong US NFP report increases the chance that the Fed will take "patience" out in March although the bank still bets for a first rate hike in September.

Key Quotes

"Friday's US NFP was unquestionably a strong employment report, suggesting that businesses have grown more confident in the economic outlook and is positive for domestic demand and activity going forward."

"In our judgment, this strong report increases the chance that the Fed will take "patience" out in March while still trying to suggest that a June hike is not a done deal. We still think a September hike is more likely based on our expectations for inflation."
