Gold speculators trim overall bullish bets in Gold

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Gold speculators slightly trimmed their overall bullish bets last week.

The non-commercial futures contracts of Comex gold futures saw a decrease in the weekly bullish positions by 9401 contracts which offset a decline of 5491 contracts in the bearish positions, leading to a weekly change of -3910 contracts. Total positions stood at +185,015 contracts in the data reported through February 3rd.

Meanwhile, Gold price decreased from approximately USD 1,292.90/Oz to USD 1,260.30/Oz during the reporting time-frame – Jan . 27th to Feb. 3rd.

GBP/USD upward extension likely – FXStreet

Valeria Bednarik, Chief Analyst at FXStreet, notes that GBP/USD might move towards 1.5320/40 levels on a break above 1.5270 levels.
