US dollar strength is a problem – US President Obama

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per a French official, the US President Barack Obama reportedly expressed concerns over the strength in the US dollar.

The greenback is being sold across the board, driving the USD/JPY pair to a session low and GBP/USD and EUR/USD pair to session highs. The selling was triggered after Obama was quoted as saying “US dollar strength is a problem.”

The USD index fell to a low of 96.03 from the session high of 96.59. The index currently trades at 96.11; down 0.28% for the day.
