Speculators reduce net bearish positions in 10-year Treasury note futures

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, speculators cut back on their overall bearish positions last week for a fourth consecutive week.

The non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes witnessed a weekly change of 9,929 net contracts to total a net position of -73,605 contracts during the reporting time period May 26th to Tuesday June 2nd. The long positions in 10-year futures declined by -15,832 contracts, but those were offset by a 25,761 drop witnessed in the short positions.

Meanwhile, during the reporting time period, the yield on the 10-Year treasury note rose from 2.14% to 2.27%.
