US headline CPI to re-enter positive territory – Nomura

FXStreet (Barcelona) - Research Analysts at Nomura predict the US headline CPI inflation to climb to positive territory and continue to move higher through H2.

Key Quotes

“With the impact of oil prices dissipating, we expect headline CPI inflation to reenter positive territory this quarter and to start to accelerate in the second half of the year. Similarly, as transitory factors wane, we expect core inflation to trend gradually higher as the economy starts to face supply-side constraints (i.e., narrowing output gap)."
