UK trade balance data expected to remain unchanged for April – TDS

FXStreet (Barcelona) - The TD Securities Team previews the UK trade balance data release ahead in the day.

Key Quotes

“The only economic data today will be trade data for April. Markets are looking for the visible trade balance to come in essentially unchanged from the prior month at -£9.95bn in April. Net trade was a significant drag on Q1 GDP, as the small decline in exports was swamped by the 2.3% gain in imports, and we’ll need to see those trends shift if GDP growth is to improve from the disappointing 0.3% pace in Q1.”
