Eurogroup's Dijsselbloem: A deal is still achievable ahead of the Eurogroup meeting next week

FXStreet (Córdoba) - Amid tons of headlines and rumors over an imminent deal between Greece and creditors, Eurogroup's Dijsselbloem has said an agreement is still achievable ahead of the Eurogroup meeting next week.

Dijsselbloem said he remains open to other suggestions on Greece but the latest submitted proposals are not good enough. He added that there is no point on talking about a third bailout if they can't agree what to do with the current situation.

Meanwhile, media is reporting on one side a German official saying it will only accept a deal if approved by all 3 institutions. On the other hand, a Greek official saying Greece is seeking an extension to the bailout for 9 months.

Nothing official yet, while German Chancellor Merkel and French President Francois Hollande are expected to meet with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras later on Wednesday to try to break the impasse in talks.
