EUR futures: upside limited near term

According to CME Group’s preliminary figures for EUR futures markets, investors trimmed their open interest positions by nearly 1.8K contracts on Monday from Friday’s final 529,355 contracts. In the same direction, volume shrunk by around 21.3K contracts, its second consecutive drop.

EUR/USD unable to pick up pace, still below 1.1400

The positive performance of EUR/USD at the beginning of the week was on the back of declining open interest and volume, hinting at the likeliness that occasional bullish attempts could struggle to gain some footing in the near term.
