EUR/AUD dumps to test the weeks low

FXStreet (Guatemala) - Currently, EUR/AUD is trading at 1.4661, down -0.31% on the day, having posted a daily high at 1.4719 and low at 1.4641.

EUR/AUD has moved in tandem with a stronger Aussie post the release of the positive Aussie Q1 GDP print. The results were 3.5% and 1.1% vs consensus 1% QoQ and 3.3% YoY, up from 0.8% and 2.8% in Q4, respectively. The focus now will turn back towards the ECB, but unless there is a surprise from the Central Bank, well, markets have already priced in a great deal in terms of rates staying low for a long period of time.
