Wall Street slightly higher, Europe mixed

FXStreet (Córdoba) - US stocks managed to recover after a negative opening and are rising moderately ahead of the release of the Beige Book. Markets in Europe finished with mix results, before the ECB meeting.

The Dow Jones is up 0.09% while the Nasdaq climbs 0.47%. In Europe the FTSE 100 lost 0.25%, the DAX rose 0.07% and the IBEX 35 retreated 0.20%. Investors await tomorrow's ECB meeting as data from the EZ had little impact.

In the US the ADP report come below expectations pushing stocks to the downside in the first hours of Wall Street trading. The US trade deficit increase almost 7% in April to $47.2 billions, the highest in two years.

Crude oil is little changed and trades at $102.60 a barrel while gold is falling $2, consolidating near weekly lows, holding slight above $1,240.
